Project Description

Another addition to my collaborative illustration blog, this piece had to creatively reflect a theme chosen by a blog administrator. The theme for this particular illustration was 'bones.'

Personal Thoughts

I attempted to continue the style I had used for the previous theme contribution by painting a dark, moody image with a slightly melancholy feel to it. By working in a looser manner, I was able to complete the painting of this image extremely quickly and retain a hand-drawn feel which sometimes get lost in more tightly rendered illustrations. This piece proved challenging when attempting to draw the human skeleton without reference. Basic anatomy knowledge was beneficial.
