Project Description

The 2005/2006 Annual Report for NSCAD University aimed to break free of the traditional letter-sized, black and white format with a fresh, modern, and inviting design. As such, an entirely new layout needed to be created from scratch with all final decisions made by the designers, Anna Stredulinsky and Jared MacPherson.

Contribution/Personal Thoughts

My role as secondary designer and design technician on the Annual Report was a creative challenge. After the original look was designed primarily by Anna Stredulinsky with my input, it was my task to implement the design. This project gave some valuable insight into the challenging task of designing without finalized content. The design underwent multiple changes as new content was introduced or edited. The final product met the needs of the client, including a dynamic page structure incorporated both full-color and grayscale pages to reduce printing costs.
