Parks Canada Symbol Comprehension Poster
Project Description
As Parks Canada developed a series of signage symbols for National Parks and Sites, comprehension had to be tested by focus groups to determine whether the average visitor would be capable of understanding the sign pictograms. An explanatory poster was requested for the symbol comprehension testing in both French and English, as well as a version combining both languages.
Personal Thoughts
My task when creating this poster was to design an immediately understood, attention-grabbing visual aid for focus group participants. The final poster was kept quite simple, focusing primarily on the process of viewing a signage symbol and understanding its meaning.
